Dr Hannah Rose
Consultant Haematologist

Hannah is a senior haematologist with a special research interest in lymphoma and significant expertise in the delivery of chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplants for lymphoma and myeloma. She also has over ten years’ clinical experience managing acute and chronic leukaemia, clotting disorders, obstetric haematology and benign haematological problems such as iron deficiency anemia.
Hannah is known for her friendly bedside manner and strives to provide clear and compassionate explanations to her patients and their families. She is a keen teacher and mentor and enjoys interacting with medical students and registrars through her teaching appointment at the Deakin University School of Medicine and her role as supervisor of Haematology Advanced Trainees at Barwon Health.
Hannah holds clinical and research appointments at University Hospital Geelong where she chairs the Lymphoma Multidisciplinary meeting and is the lead or co-investigator on several clinical trials in the research areas of lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplasia and acute leukaemia. She has a particular focus on indolent and aggressive B non-Hodgkin lymphoma with relevant presentations at international conferences and publications in several peer-reviewed journals.
Hannah graduated with honours from Monash University in 1998 and gained fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2013. She completed advanced training in Haematology through St Vincent’s, the Austin and Geelong Hospitals in Victoria before settling in Geelong to work and raise her family. She is a mother of four, an avid reader, weekend runner and amateur musician.
